Sonja's back in her correct time, searching for Kulan Gath, but encountering other evils. Since its debut this series has been fun and continues to be so. Even in her familiar world, Sonja is a force to be reckoned with. The adventure and humor, combined with exceptional visuals, make this a series to follow. Long live Sonja! Read Full Review

Despite a couple of issues, Red Sonja #12 was a lot of fun. Sonja herself is a really fun character. The story is entertaining, even if not much seems to be going on. The action sequence towards the end is fun and well-constructed. I can recommend this one. Give it a try. Read Full Review

A fun continuation of the previous issue, but it was a little slow moving in the middle and the character of Wallace already feels like more of an annoyance than anyone of value. Great art and a really strong final act. Read Full Review

Chu understands what makes an exciting adventure and she hits all the beats regardless of how familiar they may be. Gomez brings the battle to glorious life. Look, you can't go wrong with this series.  Read Full Review

Absolutely no quibbles with this issue. Sonja is in a more familiar setting and back in the driving seat, following a long stint often following others' lead while stranded in 21st century America. She's taken Professor Wallace with her and has little time for his incompetence or reluctance to take part in adventure. Unlike so many previous Amy Chu issues, there's very little diversion from the main plotline here; outside of a couple of pages showing what Gath's up to, this is all Sonja, with some magnificent action. There's a brief, one-sided bar-room brawl and a great fight in the desert with a legion of Ray Harryhausen animated skeletons. On top of the action, there's plenty of comedy but the comic finishes with an atmosphere of dread, a more
