Where Vampirella comes from they don't celebrate birthdays-so she had to choose her own. Is it any wonder she picked Halloween night? Unfortunately, her simple celebration is interrupted by-you guessed it-one of those pan-dimensional demonic invasions that often seem to take place on All Hallows Eve!

Earlier, I asked if Vampi could work with the different styles of story. The answer is probably, yes she can. Personally, I don't like campi Vampi, preferring the sultry Queen of the Vampires type of story, if done correctly. Here, with the mix of stylings, I am pretty sure that at best 50% of readers are going to dislike one part or the others, where as others, like me, wish that Dynamite would get their act together enough with this classic character and gives her fans a books that is as fun as the current run of Red Sonja. Specials and Annuals are rarely great, or must-have, issues, but the Vampirella 2018 Halloween Special provides some fun that fans should enjoy. I actually preferred the second tale, co-written by Blake Northcott, and wish it could have stolen a few extra pages from the longer opening tale which begins to drag a bit. For fans.
