The unholy alliance you prayed would never happen!  For countless generations, the fight between good and evil has been fought, as much behind the scenes as in plain view.  Unbeknownst to the world at large, one force has stood as a safeguard against the potential triumph of evil and the unleashing of the apocalypse: The 36.  Now, someone is after them, a creature of evil known as Purgatori, and the only thing standing in her way is Vampirella.  So with all of existence hanging in the balance, what could possibly bring these two enemies to join forces? Hint: Whatever it is, it must be really bad.

VAMPIRELLA VERSUS PURGATORI #1, available from Dynamite Comics on March 24th, 2021, is a refreshing return to the glory days of comics when the bad guys loved being bad. The main conflict is original and gets the reader hooked in immediately, and the art is decent overall. Plus, this story has a nice little twist at the end that we didn't see coming. While it could be said that Dynamite hang their success on their Vampi books the same way DC goes as Batman goes; the publisher utilises strong talent in order to give each Vampi book it's own flavour, it's own feel. This book is no different in that regard. Read Full Review

I'm not quite sure what to make of this series yet. At the moment, our two title characters are on the same page but it's easy to see how Lilith can turn things around so that they're foes. Vampirella feels pretty on point here with how Fawkes presents here and the little time with Purgatori feels about right as well. I really like Sarraseca's artwork here and Aiala does a really great color design for the property so that it reads well. But the story itself is pretty basic and a good old-fashioned race against time. It has all the potential it needs to at least be fun. Read Full Review

This is just sexy. Vampirella vs. Purgatori is a snuff porn mixed with supernatural mysticism. I could read this and never watch a porn again, definietly a better storyline than whatever's on Xvideos. That sequence where Purgatori goes all vampire on that old lady deserves a lithograph all it's own. The only flaw inis story is Lillith : it's tiring seeing her as the main antagonist in all these Vampi books. As a new reader just getting exposed to Vampirella's story , I want to see her have more of a Rogue's Gallery.
So what if Lillith is a milf. That's been established since Mike Carey's Lucifer. I want more in more ways than one from this story. Purgatori better have a crazy Rogue's.
