While IDW has made its name off adapting Hasbro action figures such as Transformers and G.I. Joe, Clue: Candlestick shows that there's plenty of potential to these classic board games, as well. Dash Shaw's style might be iconoclastic and different from just about any other book IDW is publishing right now, but that gives Clue: Candlestick its own unique flavor that will make this book memorable long after you put it down. Included as back matter here is an essay on the Clue franchise by Tim Hodler, which is a good read by itself, but it feels like padding to justify the issues $4.99 price tag. Its superfluous but worth reading regardless. Read Full Review

Clue: Candlestick does allow for readers to get to play with their comic book. But it doesn't allow for the reader to readily interact as they would if they were playing the board game. A good first chapter, it would be better read as a graphic novel. Read Full Review
