What started as a mission to find her missing twins in the Arizona desert in the year 2112 has landed Tawny in Ice Age Florida, separated from everything she knows and loves by thousands of years. But as the sole and unexpected protector of a new child in need, Tawny is more determined than ever to fight for survival in this chilling prehistoric world. And a surprising, devastating weapon she wields from the future may give a local tribe the upper hand in its battle against an invading Solutrean force.

This really personal story about Tawny trying to find her kids is proving to be quite a bit of fun. I love her plan to infect the Solutrean people with whatever cold virus she has gotten. As that very much mirrors, what happened to America's Native peoples when the European Settlers came. I also love the fact that Tawny is conscious of the effects that her actions may be having on the future of America. Read Full Review

This issue again looks fantastic as Burchielli has a lot of great details and layouts here to make the whole thing work, especially with the color design from Lafuente. It's mostly done in darker periods and that makes for some great shades of blue to be utilized, and a lot of earthen tones, so there's plenty to enjoy with the artwork side of it all. The story is one that I'm quite interested in as well but the execution is keeping it from working for me. It's just too chaotic and without enough of a centered foundation to make it work. We know so little about Tawny overall and we're tossed from set piece to set piece with the story that it doesn't feel like it's meaningful. It's a great concept but it's just not being followed through as well as it needs to be. Read Full Review
