On her first assignment, Lucy and her team witness the destruction caused as two foes collide. Plus, the mysterious alien alliance unleashes a new set of monsters, bent on the annihilation of our world.
In closing I'd like to say that this issue is awesome but not without it's flaws. I honestly think that if IDW ever decides to have a Godzilla series that's ongoing for more than a year, the first place they should look is Godzilla Rulers of the Earth. Read Full Review

Overall, while not quite as ‘wow' as the previous issue, #5 is pretty fun. The fight doesn't disappoint, though the outcome might. Lucy is proving to be just as good as a protagonist as Steven Woods, I'm looking forward to seeing more with her. The Gargantuas also get to appear, somehow their appearance works in-between all the madness While the story doesn't actually develop much, it's still a solid issue. Read Full Review
This is one of the best iterations of Godzilla that IDW has done, aside from Half Century War. If the plot can include the titular character, it would be a perfect book all around. Read Full Review
It's still lacking a little bit in regards to dialogue, but it does give one hope that Mowry's craft will continue to improve. A lovely little self-contained story that could bear fruit down the line, and one supported by some nice at that. Read Full Review
If you're not a kaiju fan, this ain't going to win you over. But for kaiju nerds like me, this issue is pure gold with an amazing appearance by my favorites, the Gargantuas! If the idea of a comic with the Gargantuas in a comic makes you excited, this will be your favorite issue of Rulers of Earth, if you either don't know or don't care about the Gargantuas and their like, you're probably better off looking elsewhere for your comic thrills.
