Weekly Comic Book Review - Daniel Yanez Mar 2, 2008

I'm really intrigued by all the doors that dwell in this mansion and the different effects they'll impose on the people that cross them. For a first issue, it's an excellent read, and a sharp supernatural thriller. The comic costs $3.99 as many IDW comics do, but I can't complain too much on the price this time. You get 32 pages of story, a glossy “key” on the cover (okay, it's a little gimmicky), and one heck of a debut issue. Read Full Review

    IGN - Richard George Feb 20, 2008

While many of you probably only have the funds for a handful of funny books, I sincerely hope you take some consideration in branching away from the typical fare that is offered. Don't get me wrong, I love super heroic adventures with colorful characters, but every so often it's great to read about a comedic robot built by Tesla or about doors that lead to wondrous new places. Locke & Key doesn't reveal enough potential, and suffers from a few simple storytelling flaws, but it is thoroughly engaging, from its strong character dynamics to the future it only hints at. I have a really good feeling about this one definitely check it out. Read Full Review
