This issue's quirky humor won't appeal to every reader, but it doesn't need to. The My Little Pony comics present a wide array of stories, varying in tone, style, and character focus. Each story is a surprise because you never know what to expect, but even as each story strikes a different tone, the stories call back to each other and build upon each other to create an imaginative and well-realized world. Overall, Night of the Apples gets off to an average start with a pretty awesome final act. It would be a lot better if these apple menaces were at least made to look a little intelligent. Still, the concept alone is worth checking out. Plus, Pinkie as an apple is too much fun. Read Full Review
