Overall, I recommend picking up Star Slammers it's a great book for Simonson fans and Star Slammers fan that want to reminisce on the old series or for newer readers that want to experience something new from one of comic's best. The story is not too slow, it balances itself well between story and action, and the art is superb in the book. I will give issue two a shot just to check out some Simonson art. Read Full Review

There's a bit too much going on for Star Slammers Re-Mastered #1 to work as a first issue, but the exciting premise combined with spectacular art should still be enough to make readers want to come back for more. Read Full Review

The big plus going forward in Star Slammers Re-Mastered is the fact that fans are getting to read long out of print material from Walt Simonson. Star Slammers Re-Mastered is worth reading if you are a long-fan of Simonson's work. If anyone is going to just buy this book at random on the shelves, your mileage may vary. UltimatelyStar Slammers Re-Masteredis imperfect but hopefully a good beginning to a saga I've been curious to read for a long time. 7.5 out of 10 Read Full Review

Word Of The Nerd - William Mercado Mar 26, 2014

Overall, Star Slammers #1 is a fine book with real potential. And my original impression holds true, it should lead to some seriously great stories as more and more people band about not only trying to destroy one thing or another, but also more likely trying to be Starf*ckers too! Florida Geek Scene - Peter Schmeiser Apr 16, 2014

Star Slammers is both a blast from the past and an entertaining book. The big turn off for readers could be the antiquated art style, the jam packed panels, and general attitude of the adventure. However, more veteran comics readers will enjoy a book that cost $4, and delivered what felt like two books-worth of comics storytelling by a man who is a titan in the industry. Read Full Review
