The origin of STAR TREK's greatest villain continues here, in this all-new mini-series overseen by STAR TREK writer/producer Roberto Orci! Witness the never-before-seen outbreak of the legendary Eugenics Wars and behold Khan Noonien Singh's brutal rise to power, as the secret history of the future is finally revealed!
I see the bridge that Orci, Johnson and the team are building from the original series episode "Space Seed" and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan to the current continuity and I am not yet disappointed. They are taking their time telling the story while creating questions and answering others at the same time. The transitional elements aren't noticeable as they switch artists from present day to the past and the talent pool with this creative team runs deep. I looked for something negative to say in this issue, but just could not find a single thing to earn a complaint. I can't wait until the next issue! Read Full Review
Star Trek: Khan #2 is an engaging romp into madness, as we slowly but surely peel back the layers of this psychopath. Recommended. Read Full Review
Overall, I'm disappointed with the issue, largely because of the story, and I'm hoping that it improves for next month when we get the third issue. I'll keep you updated! Read Full Review
So far Khan is playing it a little too safe. The story is little more than an illustrated Wikipedia entry of how things unfolded leading up to the Khan that faced off against the crew of the Enterprise. The introductory stuff is now out of the way, so hopefully the final few issues start to present something new and different. Read Full Review
All in all, the story feels a bit thin, and doesn't seem to add much more detail than what fans have already guessed. Really, it just feels pointless and unneeded. That being said, we're only two issues in. I may be eating my words in short order. Read Full Review
