Return to Vader's Castle does not end on the same cliffhanger thatTales from Vader's Castledoes. However, I do hope that Spooky Wars continues in 2020. There are still a lot of characters for Scott and the team at IDW Publishing to work with and even more horror stories to draw from. Even if Scott shifted the focus to heroes rather than villains, I would still be on board for another five issues. That being said, who does not want to see Scott tackle a horror story with Thrawn, Boba Fett, or even General Hux at the center? Read Full Review
Recent years have seen zombies become pop culture fixations, but that didn't stop this book from showing the more horrifying aspects of the ghouls, while also delivering a very specific Star Wars twist that makes the narrative a wholly effective embrace of the creatures for the series' sendoff. - Read Full Review
It had a slight misstep in the Ventress issue, but that didn't stop it from being incredible. In fact, I think it's better than the original Vader's Castle series from last year; it improved on the concept and had generally better stories and art. I'm definitely looking forward to next Halloween, since it seems like a Vader's Castle mini-series from Cavan might become an annual thing. Read Full Review
Vader is the centerpiece of this conclusion as forces overwhelm him. The story is fun, but the visuals are horrifically mixed. I won't be picking up any sequels if Francavilla returns to pencil the interiors, they look so bad. I would welcome more work by Wilson any time. This is intended for young Star Wars readers, but I doubt this would make them fans of the franchise. Read Full Review
