    By the storys end, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is an adequate bookend to a ho-hum trilogy. The story by Ferrari gives a satisfactory end sticking to what we know. The art by Ferrari is gorgeous though. Altogether, this adaptation doesnt improve on what seems to be a money grab of a film. Read Full Review

    While it has a few redeeming qualities,The Rise of Skywalker Graphic Novel Adaptationis a rather poor showing. It moves too quickly to be funny, impactful, or make much sense of the plot, and the characters are lifeless and hard to look at. While the backgrounds are beautiful, it's not enough to make this adaptation particularly worth the while. Read Full Review

    The lack of flare, the lack of characterization and the basic plot device of the wayfinders makes this book a reminder of all the worst aspects of the film. Readers deserved something which added depth to the film. Imagine if the creators took the time to give us Finn's thoughts or Leia's struggles throughout this tale. There was so much opportunity to redeem the mistakes of the movie in this retelling, instead we just get a product which exacerbates them. Read Full Review
