  This issue clearly is a gateway into the next issue because it ends with those final words. The only thing that is annoying about these comics is that IDW keeps releasing them separate and then all together in one big collection. It is a little too much. Just pick one and so we will. Instead I find myself buying an issue then waiting forever to purchase anything because I am waiting for the collection to come out. Plus IDW has their ongoing TMNT series. It is a lot to handle ok!   This story covers the turtles as they're enjoying the Xmas holiday at April's place while Leonardo is after some Foot soldiers at the same time. While the others are enjoying the season and having some fun, Leonardo faces off vs. some Foot soldiers solo as we learn by the end of the story the reason he was doing so: The return of Shredder, as Leo returns injured to the rest of his brothers spouting that name, with the story continuing in issue #10 of the Turtles' original series.
