Transformers: Lost Light #23 is Roberts gleefully pulling back the curtain and revealing many of the hints that he has planted throughout his run in the IDW Transformers comics. Despite focusing so much on past events everyone does a great job of preventing the book from feeling slowly or clunky. My only criticisms are that it's slightly, yet understandably, rushed. In its third-from-last-issue, Roberts and his team bring every question and cast member together to slot in the final piece of the puzzle before the last stand of issue #24. There's a twist later in the comic that feels like a shift on the level of the gods reveal. I'm still trying to process all of that. It's a hell of a comic that's part of an epic story. While there's a main event, this is pretty close to surpassing it in entertainment.
