Dec 24, 2014More Than Meets The Eye #36 is a little slower, a little simpler than many of its brothers and sisters, but it's no less expansive. This time travel plot works wonders as an opportunity to see more of the shadowed history of Cybertron, but, more importantly, it confronts our characters with their legends and, within them, their assumptions about themselves. Overall it's just a standard issue of MTMTE, but the highs, like Megatron's phone call with Orion, will stay with you for a long time. Read Full Review

Dec 16, 2014In short, this doesn't beat the amount of effort that went into last month's offering, but it's a good follow up. While there is action, this is a must-have for people who appreciate Barber's focus on personality, character and development. Also, robots. Read Full Review

Dec 25, 2014Transformers is a franchise that simply not everyone can get into. There are a lot of comics and it's a confusing place to be continuity-wise as well as concept-wise. However, this particular series is about characters. It's probably the very best character-driven comic book I've come across in the past five years, maybe even ten. This issue begins a new arc. It appears to be a decent jump-on point. If you have any interest at all in comics that are driven by characters in a deep and meaningful way then I recommend checking this out. Forget that they are robots. Read Full Review

I can't get enough of this series. It balances both character development and a complex time travel storyline in perfect form. My favourite moment is the phone call between Megatron and Orion Pax, you can't have a conversation between these two that isn't riveting. James Roberts and Alex Milne are a team to be reckoned with and every transformers fan should be reading 'More Than Meets the Eye."
