The father-daughter creative duo has truly excelled with this issue. They deliver a unique tale of mental health combined with the supernatural. It captivates you from the very first page, leaving you eagerly anticipating the release of the second issue. Halloween time fits well with the release of the first issue, although I'll be curious to see just how long it takes for Cleo to get answers to what is going on and seeing how the pieces begin to fit together. Read Full Review

Between the words and the art, there's a respect and a gentleness for the horror of mental illness without flinching about what Cleo is facing with her other, higher purpose. While there's not a lot beyond general table setting in this issue, it's intriguing and very well done. Read Full Review
All in all, "A Haunted Girl #1 is a lavishly produced comic with a strong, poignant premise, that may or may not have its serious themes undone by campy imagery and plot developments. For the sake of the creative team, and anyone reading affected by the subject matter, I really hope it lives up to its promise of inspiring anyone dealing with suicidal ideation to confront the demons in their lives, and win.
