Kindt and Lemire ground the tale in the muddy elements of the typical detective story while propelling it to the sweeping level of cosmic beings. That dichotomy is captured perfectly through Rubns art, colors, and lettering, all of which strike the right balance between the two genres and textures. These elements switch between the detailed and simplistic for maximum effect and makes for a dynamic reading experience. It was decent I guess. I liked it a lot towards the beginning, but then it just got pretty convoluted and boring. It's a shame. I normally like the work of the creators, the art was pretty good, it just didn't really do much for me.
