Paul and Jolene become a more close-knit team, and together they finally reach Pam's submarine. But sea monsters and the threats of the wilderness are not the only thing to be afraid of. On the surface world, politics and plots between cities start to unfurl, and the consequences will fall on the unauthorized rescue expedition.
When a submarine is found, Jolene and two others search the vehicle and make a stunning discovery. Unfortunately, they are then attacked and must find a method of escape. Meanwhile, Eve makes plans to find Jolenes team as well as the anomaly.The Story: Andolfo and Goy have crafted and exciting tale filled with mystery and tragedy. This issue has really good character development. As well as action. The emotional component surrounding the many previous tragedies is nicely peppered into the overall tone of the narrative. I found myself completely invested in the welfare of the crew, especially Jolene. I cant wait to see what new adventures they face in the next episode.Andrea Broccardo uses detailed drawings highlighted by a colorful backdrop to convey the action and emotion of this issue. Deep Beyond is moving at a steady pace with purpose and comprehension. A story which has different layers to it and always making the reader aware of what is going. With stunning art to back up a good, original story makes this a very enjoyable comic to read. Read Full Review
