A very public confrontation with Superstar in Los Angeles results in the arrival of-Radiant Black! With the eyes of the world on them, the Free Agents want to stop the fight, but Barrage would rather not! Will they team up after they fight? Yeah, probably...but still, it's face-crunching action in the Iconic Image Idiom!

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff Oct 2, 2024

Its just too bad that there isnt more distinguishing the action. Clearly theres a serious threat involving a powerful object falling into the wrong hands. It just simply is NOT where it would need to be in order to really feel narratively dynamic. The characters themselves DO seem interesting, but its difficult for any author to juggle all of the different characters in such a large and sprawling extended ensemble. Some of the drama supporting all of the action felt particularly compelling, but its all in the distance amidst all of the weird energies flowing in and around the pages of the issue. Theres so much potential in the many characters in the ensemble. A better Free Agents could happen if only the writers would let the series find its own rhythm.  Read Full Review
