Monstress #9 is an intriguing issue, filled with some curious plot developments. So much is going on and I feel like we are only just beginning to scratch the surface of it all. It's not exactly a light read, but it is very impressive on every front.
We learn more about Maika's lineage and upbringing, flush out the mythology some more with these weird parasitic demon thingers, then shove off to explore the super spooky island, oh boy!
