Outcast #13 overall was a solid issue for the build up and emotion poured into the exorcism through both writing and artwork. Read Full Review

With as much action as issue 13 has within it's rapidly paced content, we're also progressing towards something else disturbing as well. Cause why not? A character's life hangs in the balance after what could be a fatal wound and that man in black is scarier than ever…. With the next issue being titled “Get behind me Satan” — I cannot wait to see what happens next. While the story of Outcast remains entertaining and Azacetas art continues to be excellent, theres not a lot happening in this issue. They do a very good job of tying up loose ends associated with the end of their last arc, and answering questions it left about core characters, but it was a very slow start to the new arc. One can only hope that the inclusion of The Devil at the end of the issue means that hes going to take a much heavier hand in the development of the story, and push this thing along. As the first issue in a new story arc, it would've been great to have a bit more excitement rather than more of the same. Instead, this issue reads like a conclusion to issue 12. The story of Kyle's continued exorcism of his sister, while drawn beautifully, leaves the reader wanting more, as it takes up the entire issue. However, we do get a bit of excitement with the return of Sidney, and his role in next month's issue. Hopefully Kirkman will answer some questions for us in the issues to come. Read Full Review
