Honestly overall all these Skybound x issues are solid, fun reads, but due to how short the stories are I feel like none of them are given a chance to really do anything great. Rick Grimes 2000 is suffering from this badly. It’s still fun, but it’s missing a lot of details that would’ve improved the story had it been a normal sized story instead of the small 12 pages it is given each week
Redneck rating only
The Rick Grimes 2000 story gets a little better here, but it's still Kirkman taking the piss out of the original series while trying to put way too much of that story back into this one. There just isn't enough space for what Kirkman's trying to do. But hey, I guess we'll see how it wraps up next issue. The Excellence story didn't really work for me. It was written fine, but even the context page is not enough for me to know who any of these people are and why I should care about them. It probably works a lot better if you're aware of the series. The Sea Serpent's Heir story was neat. I can't promise I'll read more of that series, but I was intrigued enough to think about reading it. The Redneck story was my favorite and that's probably becmore
