All in all, I am not sure that I would recommend Trees based on this issue alone. I found it enjoyable, and I am a fan of both the author and the artist. However, I think I will need to keep this one to myself, do a little more reading and form a more well-rounded opinion for myself, before I pass it on to other fans. Creasy is a great character but she needs to be used right. She comes across as intelligent. The art shows she is beautiful. Some mystery is ok but we really do need to know more about her and what her purpose is. Read Full Review
This series is such a slow burn. I am often worried that it gets cancelled when it comes out less frequently. Ellis clearly has a lot of story to tell and this book would probably be a bit easier to approach if you are new to it and curious, in the trade form. The issues are pretty short and tend to advance the story slowly, but the art and writing is solid enough to keep me interested.
