New York City Police Detective Sara Pezzinni is this generation's bearer of the Witchblade. A supernatural relic meant to balance the forces of darkness and light. Following a savage clash with Mafia hitman Jackie Estacado, this generation's nascent bearer of The Darkness, Sara is on the prowl for the power behind the bloodthirsty inhuman traffickers-Sonatine! Sara's troubles with Jackie escalate, and the first appearance of Sonatine heralds something much bigger on the horizon.
Jackie Estacado remains Saras greatest mystery. Dark forces swirl around him, yet the Franchetti family cleaner seems unaware of them. Nor does Jackie have any knowledge of the Creosotes. All he wants to do is protect his familys future from the police investigations that could destroy it. While Jackie fights for his family, Sara seeks to avenge hers. Investigating her father's death has cost Sara any joy in life. In Witchblade #10, her battle for justice will demand another casualty. Read Full Review
Cafaro delivers awesome art throughout the issue. I love the visual style and the wonderful visual details throughout the pages and panels. Read Full Review
The art is good and the fighting is cool but this issue feels like a bit of a mess. The plot moves forward but not smoothly, and I have no idea why Micheal literally popped out of nowhere just to get killed. Like even Sara was wtf how or why is he here? It was like he was teleported in there. I honestly dont care for the reason it feels like sloppy writing. Drama for the sake of drama.
Overall not a terrible issue but a mess. The overall story moving forward is at least enough to keep me reading for now.
