Speed Racer #4 is another slam dunk issue in this outstanding series. Human emotion leads to a great deal of awesome suspense. Well, the racing action gets the readers' heart pounding. The cliffhanger end is reminiscent of the Batman tv series and serves as a great homage. Every month this series delivers and is a highlight of my Pull List. If Speed Racer isn't on your Pull List yet, don't wait any longer, add it NOW! Read Full Review

SPEED RACER #4 delivers a pulse-pounding experience that largely succeeds on both narrative and artistic fronts, making it a worthy read for fans craving adrenaline mixed with emotional stakes. While not flawless, it stakes a strong claim for continued attention in a limited comic budget, especially for those drawn to intense racing drama with a human core. Read Full Review

Speed Racer #4 was another solid issue, the storyline is getting a little tired and sort of in the way of the real reason I read this book ... the races. Something about the way Pepose writes them and then Tinto illustrates what's on the page - really gives the sensation of speed ... it's hard to explain - but they nail it. As I said the story is starting to drag on ... but that's really a paper-thin setup for a fun FAST comic.
