• PROLOGUE TO X-TERMINATION!
The book's subplots are each interesting and carefully placed. Renato Arlem's art has been fantastic on his run with this title, and stays the course in Age of Apocalypse #13. In a book that features a bit less action than we've recently seen, Arlem drives the story forward with his intense character expressions. The artwork is sold this month, with Renato Arlem tackling the bulk of the issue and Valentine De Landro handling the bookend pages. Both capably channel Roberto de la Torre's gritty, noir-esque style. It's a style that somehow works even though the tone and locations are comparatively cheery in this issue. One complaint, though, is that some characters are a bit harder to recognize now that most of them have ditched their costumes for civilian attire. Read Full Review
Overall I felt it was too rushed and confined in it's space. For a title I've been loving so far I felt the ending of it's current run before the story arc that will probably end it just did not do it the justice it deserves. Read Full Review
