This serves a similar purpose to this week's Enter the Heroic Age in showing how this new era is affecting different heroes throughout the Marvel Universe. I'll compliment Marvel's editorial for organizing this in such a way that there's no "double-dipping" or redundancy between the two books. Although, I think I'll recommend this more of the two, since all its stories are satisfying told-in-ones rather than being intended as teases for other books. Read Full Review

And therein lies the core problem. Age of Heroes doesn't offer enough bang for the buck. $3.99 is too much to ask for four short stories, only two of which are of significant length. If both of the longer stories were of equally high quality that might help to justify the price, but they aren't. And in a week with so many promising new releases, it seems particularly hard to recommend an anthology book that can't offer full value and consistent quality. Read Full Review
