This is where the mystery deepens. Peter, like us, has no idea who attacked him but the man seems convinced that he should know and is offended he doesnt. They unknown assailant also seems to think Peter has something to apologise for with regards to the deceased, yet apparently does not know that Peter is Spider-Man until Peter uses his powers to leap onto a passing truck and escape them. However, the assailant does seem to have exceptional strength and agility of his own and wants to kill Peter. What is even more confusing is that when we see the man taking off his mask he bears a striking resemblance to, well, Peter himself. A poor bit of art or a deliberate set-up? That remains to be seen. As for the woman, well, Quesada already teased us with one possible identity for her that raises some very interesting questions about this couples motivations for wishing harm on the Parkers. Huh, I'm finally here... On the story arc, that most people feel to be the worst in Spider-Man history... Never read that before, but for now it's cool. Very interesting and entertaining. Plus Mike Deodato is a worthy replacement for the Romita JR. His art is so cool...
You know, I already know that they retconned Gwen to be whore, but... For now I don't feel this idea that bad. She had a period of time, when she wasn't in the city. She is a person and people aren't flawless, they can make mistakes. And all this story just gave Norman more reasons to kill Gwen. Plus, it could make all old fans and Peter to hate Gwen and finally accept Mary Jane as the only one appropriate woman for Peter... Yeah, it's still hurt and people chose more
