One thing that "Character Assassination" in general, and this issue in particular, makes very plain is that the Spidey brain-trust has a clear plan for our favorite web head. What saves this issue from being a bad one isthe art by Romita Jr. Hes just fantastic. He adds grace and escapism to thepages, elevating them to a greater story than the usual Spider-man story.
