I was really into this comic until the unfortunate shooting/death(?) of Crusader. I liked him dammit! Even though Crusader was shot, this was another example of why Dan Slott is such a marvelous writer, and is heads and shoulders better than Marvel's golden boy, Brian Bendis. Dan managed to involve so many characters in this comic, who were all but forgotten in the Marvel Universe, including one of my all-time favorite groups, the Great Lake Avengers. Yep, I've loved those losers since they first showed up in the West Coast Avengers series, and it's always great to see them show up. Their interaction with Gravity(another forgotten favorite)had me laughing out loud. Read Full Review

AvengersThe Initiative works best when the creators are really playing in the Marvel sandbox. The latest issue is a prime example of why that is. Worth checking out, even if you've had your fill of Skrulls. Read Full Review

Ugh... The artwork is pretty rough and bad, especially when it changes. The story is chaotic and some decisions are not good. It was a bit entertaining, though... And it's funny how it was Crusader who actually deserved the credit for saving the Earth and not Norman Osborn. It's sad no one tried to bring him back after that, especially considering this ending. By the way, those people rallying to be conquered by Skrulls remind me about some similar people in US and Europe advocating for something similar... Can't remember what that was though.
