• For months, an occult group called The Diogenes Initiative has been resurrecting heroes and letting them run amok in Ben Reilly's town. As the Scarlet Spider, he may have a thing or two to say about that.
• IN THIS ISSUE: Ben gets one step closer to a miracle cure for young Abigail Mercury...
• ...and with it, one step closer to a fight to the death with his "brother" Kaine!

If short, this issue has Sauron, which instantly gives it a cheesy goodness that Peter David thrives on. If Spider-Mans clone fighting a were-Pterodactyl in tiny shorts isnt enough for you to at least leaf through it at the local comic shop, you just dont like comics. Read Full Review
Most of the humor from this issue comes from Kaine's half of the story while we do see Ben make a scientific leap (relying on that old Peter Parker science knowledge, something neither clone does enough) to defeat the super-villain and begin his own investigation into the Diogenes Initiative. Worth a look. Read Full Review
This is the comic equivalent of having sand in your eyes while a ten year old kicks you in the crotch repeatedly. It's a miserable experience. Read Full Review
Ben defeats Sauron and his scientist target survives just long enough to bend the story toward the Diogenes Initiative. Surprise surprise, that's where Kaine's story is bending, too. Nice plot developments there. This issue is utterly bereft of interesting character work or noteworthy action, though. The balance of the book is relentlessly average.
