A great fantasy romp with great dialogue about being a free man. The art is good and the book moves along at a great pace. Only the end with the Ram feels a little off. Otherwise absolute fun.

(Cover Date: December, 1970) Summary: Conan is captured & enslaved by the Beast-Men of Brutheim. After his war-helm is taken away & he fights the guard, he is sentenced to die in the Games of Gha-Kree by the king. Conan kills a snow-lion using the obsidian knife that chief thrall Kiord gave him. When the king tells Conan to beg for death, Kiord leads the slaves to revolt, driving the Beast-Men away. Kiord is killed during the fighting. Conan places the king's crown on Kiord's head.
