Edge of Spider-Verse#3 is a mixed bag of a comic, with a strong script and fairly consistent art for the Spider-Smasher story, and a hollow execution of Spider-Boys next installment. Both of these strips do a decent-not-great job of expanding their protagonists' worlds and putting out hooks for further adventures. The Spider-Boy strip is crafted a bit better, while the Spider-Smasher strip has a stronger premise (a whole AU to explore rather than a corner of the 616). Neither of them has the fire to get me really engaged and eager for the next installment, though.
