Within the twisted walls of Castle Doom, the team becomes the unwilling participants in Doom's 'power game'. Crystal and Sue are treated to a Latverian banquet...while the men are attacked by flame throwers! The prospect of escape becomes ever bleaker, as the FF fight the machinations of a madman!

kind of a let down of an ending but still a solid story

(Cover Date: June, 1969) Summary: As the FF make their way toward Doom's castle, they encounter a series of traps & hazards that Doom has designed to draw them towards him. Sue & Crystal are the first to arrive, where Doom has prepared a banquet for them. Reed, Johnny & Ben arrive in Doom's art gallery & find Hauptmann with a flame thrower about to fry Doom's portrait artist, a suspected SHIELD agent. Angered that Hauptmann will destroy his art collection, Doom sends a hyper-sound blast from his piano at Hauptmann to kill him. He had intended to use it against the FF while playing his concerto for them. Now weary of his game, Doom tells them to leave Latveria. Comments: The ending was rather abrupt. On to the next arc!
