The art is absolutely awful even for a fill in artist. The faces just look so stupid. The story itself is great though. Lobdell packed the Paige-Jon scenes with so much emotion. Loved the way Paige responded to him in the attic. With Bachalo art this couldve easily been in the 8.5-9 range. Just look at the way Mitch Byrd drew Husk and Synch’s faces.

Most superhero comics exist in a world where everyone is conventionally attractive, but Mitch Byrd dares to ask "What if they lived in a world where absolutely no one was attractive?"

This is really where Chamber's self-pity starts to become really tiresome, but all of the other scenes are full of good character work that continues to validate the worth of this slice-of-life stretch of the series, whatever else one might think of them doing five downtime issues in a row.
