Despite some minor hiccups in the characterization of our main baddie, GENERATION X #5 is a brilliant one-shot spotlight on one of the X-Men's greatest misfits: Eye-Boy. Overall, a very relatable human narrative. Read Full Review
If some of the other ResurreXion titles have felt too homogenous for your taste, then take a chance on this one-shot that's willing to be this oddball. Read Full Review
Overall, a fun, small issue that's a breath of fresh air amidst universe ending calamity and face twisting melodrama hysterics. Read Full Review
As a standalone issue, this is an okay outing. It gives Eye Boy more shine but leaves Nature Girl in the doldrums. Looking forward to the storyline coming back into play. Read Full Review
Really refreshing and fun mini-story that expands and humanizes the relationship between Eye-Boy and Animal Girl that's existed since Aaron's X-Men run. Also as an eye-boy fan I love that he got some personal development.
Eye-Boy gets a hand from Nature Girl when his mutant powers go on the fritz. While there are some undeniable glitches in both scripting and art, they're accompanied by plenty of imagination and heart. This ends up being an entertaining read even though I didn't fully buy the power-fritzing - the lack of a solid explanation for that would be King Glitch #1.
