Kieron Gillen and Richard Elson have crafted something great with this story " that rare bird that can appeal to both longtime readers and those who are just getting started, simply by virtue of the talent involved, and attention to detail, and the ability to tell a story without forcing it to be more important that it probably should. Of course, this book will have you in hysterics, as usual. The recap page is especially hilarious this time around, with a certain Elder God who looks suspiciously like Cthulhu grumping about how I have raved about Journey Into Mystery on my personal blog so much, and this issue is no exception. Gillen's writing is top notch, as always, and whilst this arc may draw comparisons with Neil Gaiman's Sandman, I think this stands nicely on its own two feet as both a testament to that series, and as an arc of Journey Into Mystery alone. Gillen's penchant for silly and sometimes fourth-wall bending humor remains in full effect, beginning with the humorous recap page and lasting until the very end. The blend of high fantasy and simple goofiness gives this series its unique charm. The only complaint that can really be lodged against this arc is that Gillen has never used the Loki/Hellstorm dynamic to its full potential, particularly in this issue. But even so, this is a memorable finale to another great story arc. Journey Into Mystery remains one of Marvel's best and most consistent books. Read Full Review
