And that's really what Marvel Knights Spider-Man is about here - we've seen Spider-Man fight people before. We've seen him overcome impossible odds. But what we haven't seen is him looking so damn good while doing it. This is a great use of the Marvel Knights imprint. We get a slightly darker story presented with a great variety of art style. Matt Kindt has placed Spider-Man in an interesting situation, forced to face numerous enemies while Marco Rudy provides the art in a way we really haven't seen before in a Spider-Man comic. If you've been missing Peter Parker or just want to see a story that doesn't have to be tied to the current continuity, this is a great story to check out. Of course, Marco Rudy's art is just as important to this book's success as Matt Kindt's writing. There's always so much going on, and it makes the book feel very surreal. Its hard to know what I'm experiencing, and what to expect. The way Rudy draws it, it sometimes seems like ot could be real life, a dream or a video game, but I'm never really sure. It would, of course, be better if the plot were a little stronger, but this is very much like a popcorn movie. Read Full Review
