DOWN SOUTH PART 3 Moon Knight is in a world of trouble. After rescuing a land baron’s daughter from corrupt Federales, the fugitive vigilante is suddenly thrust into the crosshairs of Mexico’s deadliest assassins looking to collect the bounty on the girl’s head. But there are other predators prowling the dark underbelly of Mexico City, and not all of them have their sights on the innocent. The Punisher has traveled down south on the trail of some Russian mobsters, and he’s just stepped onto blood-soaked turf that bears the unique signature of another killer. His name is Toltec, and if you’ve seen him, you’re dead.
Overall, I think Benson has really tightened up this story and has created interesting and engaging characters in the Zapata Brothers. Once again, I think this story-arc takes on a greater importance and overall relevance especially given the current situation in Mexico today. When Moon Knight, the Punisher and Toltec clash with the Zapata Brothers, it's sure to be one match worthy of greatness beyond Wrestlemania. Read Full Review
In a completely unexpected turn of events, I'm absolutely gobsmacked to declare that...I loved this issue.
Somehow, virtually everything about this issue worked for me. The art, the action, the dialogue, the story...where the heck did this come from Benson?! And why the heck couldn't all of your previous work on Moon Knight have been even HALF this good?!?
My only minor gripe with this issue is the same gripe as I've had with this whole arc so far, and that is that it still doesn't really fully feel like a Moon Knight story, or at least you could swap out Jake's name for Clint or Bucky or something and it would work exactly the same. So as much as I loved this issue, I would still really love to get this Moon Knight ru more
