On Monster Island, surrounded by thousands of Brood, Carol Danvers regains her long lost Binary abilities, but the price she pays for her old powers may be her life!
But at least we have the twist ending, and I think that's all a lot of readers will need to see. It's certainly interesting, but a couple interesting pages can't prop up an entire issue. I'm hoping the twist will allow for an increased focus on th book's ensemble cast. That's all I really want from a Ms. Marvel comic anyway. Critics gave this a 7 oh my God even back then these "critics" were snorting something unnatural... Okay where to start because this ish has to be by far the best of the best in this run in terms of action, pacing and overall execution...
Carol with her Binary powers goes after the Brood Queen and throws her down onto the island. Cru shoots the Queen in the skull and show sup in her original form thanks to her and Carol's bond. As Carol and Cru talk for a moment the Queen sticks her tail through Crus head and throws her like a ragdoll into a body of lava. This was brutal and badass, and the panels of Queen and Ms. Marvel back talking and beating the shit out of each other was fraggin awesome 😎👍
