(Cover Date: September, 1987) Summary: Sam & Rahne fret over what to wear to Lila Cheney's party. Raek, a party crasher, wants to talk Lila into helping them steal some jewels before they are destroyed. Raek sabotages Sam's dance with Lila using ball bearings. When Sam feels that Lila is going to dump him, Raek talks Sam into taking some drugs to feel better. Raek & his gang fly off with the groggy Sam, intending to drop him into the water to drown. Sam activates his Cannonball power to try to escape, but lacks control due to being drugged. Raek & his gang shoot at him. The other team members see what is happening & go to the garbage barge that Sam has crashed into. Raek & his gang shoot at them, but the team disarms them. Lila shows up more
