Despite my gripe about the New Mutants not being the focus of their own book, this was a pretty good chapter. We find out about another teleporter, we see if Hope can stand for herself, we see more of Donald Pierce's plan and get a decent cliffhanger. I feel like it could've used a tiny bit more action but it was still a satisfying read. Read Full Review

I hesitate to say that Second Coming has stalled out, but it's tough to think differently when a mediocre issue such as this hits the stands. All it takes is one subpar segment to kill the momentum that the X-books have spent six weeks building up. Luckily we only have to wait one week for the next chapter to come out. I hope it gives the series a much needed shot in the arm. Read Full Review

My hopes for this crossover are quickly dwindling but the issue itself is sound enough. I can't for the life of me understand why so many mutants are lashing out at Hope which is a real stumbling block for this entire crossover it seems. However, that isn't the only problem with the crossover as it appears the X-Men are going to be stuck sitting around having lunch while their Island gets bombed into oblivion. Well see how this all plays out. This issue had some nice plot development but not enough to make it a great comic book. I'm not even sure there was enough story here for a full comic book. Cafeteria fights aren't going to cut in a story as hyped as this one. Read Full Review

The Comic Addiction - Paul Steven Brown May 12, 2010

I was happy to finally see what Domino and Vanisher have been getting up to for the past six chapters. With the importance placed by Bastion on the removal of all of the X-Men’s teleporters, it was only a matter of time until Telford would be forced into the picture. Bastion also has his eyes set on the other forms of transport available to the mutants. It’s due to the execution of this portion of the robot’s plan that we finally get to see Namor in action.
