The Weekly Crisis - Ryan Schrodt Jun 17, 2010

I absolutely love the intensity of this issue as Zeb Wells puts together what is probably my favorite issue that he has ever written. His strong sense of character voice allowed for so many characters, many of whom only have a panel or two of face time, to shine without detracting from the intense action of this storyline. When you add in some solid art, you've got another big win for this enjoyable crossover. Read Full Review

Second Coming continues to prove an apt title for this revitalization of the X-Franchise. Wells and his troika of artists supply a steady continuation of the plot that never fails to entertain. Read Full Review

With only three chapters left in the crossover I now am starting to understand where this is all going. This issue provides plenty of action from plenty of characters. It's not always clear who the characters are in some of the scenes but the action is conveyed perfectly in terms of entertainment. I loved how some of the characters were portrayed and I enjoyed the visual story told in this issue. With the lone exception of the opening one shot this might be my favorite issue of the crossover. Part eleven of "Second Coming" only lengthens the storyline's streak of improvement, this time adding some good character additions and more than a couple exciting moments along the way. Zeb Wells makes a case for himself as one of the more adaptable X-writers in the stable with this issue. Read Full Review

Comic Book Resources - Greg McElhatton Jun 18, 2010

It's all the little touches in this issue of "New Mutants" that make it stand out, even as the storyline stretches towards its conclusion. "Second Coming" is proving to be one of the strongest X-Men crossovers to date, and if it can keep its momentum through the final three chapters, I think most readers are going to be quite happy that all of the X-books came together for three months to tell this story. Good stuff. Read Full Review

    cxPulp - Terry Verticchio Jun 18, 2010

The Second Coming continues to have my attention, mostly because it is one big, desperate battle scene. The kids have dropped the gloves and are no longer holding back any more. These are no longer heroes that defend the people who fear and hate them. These are people staving off extinction. Just good fun. Read Full Review
