Hyde chases after Cobra from Ryker's Island Prison from where he was held with the intent of killing Cobra for betraying him. Spidey & Black Cat interfere to stop Cobra from being killed. Spidey tells Black Cat to stay back so that she isn't hurt or killed. Hyde hammers Spidey into a brick wall which leads Black Cat to think he's dead. After Cobra dons his costume, he shoots Hyde with his Cobra venom darts. Black Cat causes a wall to fall on top of both of them. Afterwards, Black Cat feels that she must acquire super-powers in order to fight along side with Spidey. (Cover date: March, 1984)
