The first page wasn’t at all how I thought the book would begin, but it worked rather well, setting up what kind of story this comic would be. In a lot of ways, this book mirrors the events of the first movie and that’s part of what makes it work so well. Sometimes, if ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Pak and Robinson make a fantastic team, giving readers more than they bargained for on every page. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Jul 29, 2026The visual aesthetics are kind of interesting. The overall look of alien and predator from the 1980s meets the overall look of advanced primates from the late 1960s. The two opposing design styles actually worked pretty well together. This has a lot to do with the fact that the predator franchise one that could be placed in just about any setting and work quite well. It's a bit like the alien xenomorph in that respect. And as interesting as it might be, it's really just an opportunity to use a couple of different 20th Century Fox franchises together. It's OK. There isn't a whole lot of depth here. Read Full Review

Plot
NASA and the U.S. Army send a spacecraft to find Colonel Taylor's mission, which mysteriously disappeared. The pilot is named Arch.
This spacecraft is intercepted by a Yautja ship, which shoots them down, and both crash on a planet. There, they are greeted by humanoid apes named Cornelius and Zira, who claim to be friends of Taylor (the character from the original film, played by Charlton Heston).
But the wounded Yautja also kills the last surviving soldiers for wearing the U.S. flag on their uniforms. Pilot Arch is the only survivor.
Meanwhile, General Ursus and Dr. Zaius are planning the extermination of primitive humans.
