CIVIL WAR tie-in! Frank Castle decides to take a side in the CIVIL WAR.
I'm really digging Fraction and Olivetti's Punisher. These two men make a great team and are delivering a well done comic book. Fraction has kicked off this new title with a fast start, plenty of action and strong dialogue and character development. That is the perfect formula for a successful new title. If you like your heroes with some attitude and enjoy some serious action then Punisher War Journal is definitely a title you will like. I certainly recommend giving Punisher War Journal a try. It is much more than your average action title. Read Full Review
Again, you really should read this before you read Civil War #6. Read Full Review
Like Civil War: Front Line, this book seems to exist more as a companion to the core series than a particularly compelling story in its own right, and seeing as the Punisher's role in the crossover seems likely to end soon (even if the events of this issue don't put him out of the picture for good, the core title only has one more issue to go) it's difficult to predict whether they'll be much reason for Civil War readers to pick up the next issue of this title. I loved seeing the civil war from Frank's side. What a true tie in as it really informs you of this characters perspective. All around a great issue with my two favorite characters. I love how Fraction wrote Cap and loved the last scene...except one thing. Again Fractions dialogue can be so randomly bad. Like the last line where Frank tells Cap... c'mon I been a bad boy punish me haha like wtf?? Felt so corny.weird and forcing the word punish. Super odd he read that and kept it in his final draft.
