  Juanan Ramirez & Erick Arciniega are in charge of the artwork for the issue and they did an incredible job. They really do a great job conveying the overall dark tone of the issue in a very effective way with the artwork. They did a great job making it feel like you’re actually there and feeling what Eddie feels with the artwork. I also loved how the visceral the artwork was and wasn’t afraid to pull punches. When you’re dealing with a symbiote, it isn’t going to be a clean experience and the artwork did a great job showing that. Read Full Review

  Another solid entry into the Queen In Black series, Queen In Black: Venom Unchained #2 feels a little like two separate stories wrapped into one. While Soule does an amazing job, it feels like, with the Queen In Black story already so far into the arc, there was a need from editorial to get Eddie to the ball before midnight. Read Full Review

  Queen in Black: Venom Unchained #2 packs plenty into Eddie Brock’s escape, from his uneasy partnership with Sleeper to a brutal showdown and a slick new symbiote suit. Charles Soule grounds Eddie with an anxious inner monologue that makes him feel vulnerable despite everything he’s survived, while Juanan Ramírez brings a heavy metal energy to the action. The biggest drawback is outside the issue itself, as Queen in Black #3 has already revealed where this cliffhanger leads. Even so, this is an important and entertaining step toward Eddie’s return as Venom. Read Full Review
