This is a great spot to hop on Rocket Raccoon for those who haven't read the first arc and is a good reminder to those who have why this book is worth reading. Young's narrative voice and the imagination and skill of Beaulieu and Andrade drive these adventures. They capture the essence of these characters and their relationships notably well. Andrade continues on with art after last issue and has proved hes a very good match for this series. While it would be great if Young had stayed on art full time, Andrade is really knocking it out of the park here. There are moments he captures perfectly where Rocket is boasting about himself and you can see every inch of pride in every line on the page. Read Full Review

Thankfully there is something for Rocket and his new snow ninja friend Jinx to do as the egg of one of the monsters that poisoned Groot may hold the cure (that is if Rocket can survive long enough on his quest to retreive it). Worth a look. Read Full Review

Rocket Raccoon #7 is really an issue that sets up the rest of the arc, but it focuses on the relationship between Rocket and Groot, and because of that it carries an emotional weight that gives an urgency to the story. Readers can safely assume Rocket will find a way to save Groot, but the journey itself will be what most defines the arc and given the way Skottie Young conveys the deep love between these two friends, the ride will be anything but ordinary. Although I clearly didn't enjoy this issue as much as I have, I'm still excited for the future of this series. Rocket is a great character, and the situation that Rocket is heading into next issue has me kind of excited. It appears that this was merely a set-up issue, but when you're paying $4 for something that can be read in less than 10 minutes, you expect to be satisified, even if it is just the beginnning.
