Issue review of epicness we might see in the next issue or upcoming issues: Possible Harry Osborne lizard venom mix monster (must see) Spider-Gwen venom suit (must see also) Wolverine battling the Hand and Spider-Gwen (I want it all!) This issue gets five out of five stars just for setting up some unpredictable greatness that will leave all of our comic hearts full and all of our Spider-Man wallets empty. As Gwen would say it, clown town curly fries! Keep'em coming! Read Full Review

Overall though, Gwen is back on her grind and you can look forward to this arc returning us to the type of conflict we love to see in her. Growth, authority, and identity. Happy to stick around. Read Full Review

Spider-Gwen #19 does not waste anytime getting the series back on track. The interactions between Spider-Gwen and Matt Murdock elevated all the events going on at the moment. The introduction of the Venom symbiote and Wolverine provide Latour with interesting wild cards that add to the unpredictability that surrounds Spider-Gwen's current direction. Read Full Review

This issue is pure setup for what I hope will turn into a great arc. While there is little action to speak of it is book-ended by solid pages of humor and intrigue. I have to admit, any Spider book that brings venom into the conversation immediately grabs my interest. It will also be interesting to see how Wolverine plays a role in this down the line as well. Overall while there isn't much in this issue to speak of, it did make me eager to see what's in store for issue 20. Hopefully Marvel can avoid another crossover event before then. Read Full Review
In one issue we get a whole lot of great. CAN Not Wait for the next issue.
Matt Murdock introduces Elsa Brock and Venom-65, woo woo, and Gwen is tasked with redeeming Harry Osborn. Venom-65 is just the beginning; there's also a surprise AU hero at the end. This new arc is packed with hype, but the contents in this issue are rather a mess. Writer Jason Latour flubs a couple of vital conversations, and as a result it's way harder than it should be to discern key motivations. Also, super petty, but Robbi Rodriguez needs to expand his male costuming options beyond baggy business casual. When everybody from NYPD cops to zillionaire Norman Osborn looks like a kid attending prom in his big brother's suit, it's time to study up on men's fashions.
