Mar 08, 2017As we near the finale it's clear Doctor Aphra has carved an important place in the Star Wars canon. The premise of the book-discovering ancient relics-allows for great storytelling and the character is the right amount of originality to make her genuine and stand apart from the rest. Mar 10, 2017The Star Wars Universe continues to expand and Doctor Aphra is there to profit from it. Great combination of action and archaeology with familiar threats. Very enjoyable, though the text is a minor letdown. Read Full Review

Mar 09, 2017The book remains the most darkly entertaining addition to Marvel's Star Wars franchise. At this point, I'd happily read a comic featuring just Beetee and Triple Zero. Mar 11, 2017While I'm enjoying the bulk of the Star Wars books in general and have gotten a kick out of a good portion of the Doctor Aphra run so far, this issue just left me feeling a bit cool as it's kind of drawn out and I'm not feeling a connection to most of these newer characters. I loved this issue. The scene where Beetee and Triple Zero hide in the shadows while the troopers are rushing past towards Aphra and her father was funny. I also enjoyed the character work here, as we dig deeper into Aphra's relationship with her father. And the story of the lost Jedi was interesting. Nice Kev Walker art. Really good book.

It takes a little while for this issue to grab its footing, but the second half has a great moment between Aphra and her father. We've been waiting for it for a little while now. The next issue will likely wrap up this arc that has been pretty consistent so far.

I'm glad the atmosphere on this floating rock has been explained, that was bothering me. This has lots of action, and a father-daughter moment to complete the Last Crusade feel.
